Hi. I`m trying to figure out how to get the Orange and Blue layer:

I don`t know how because it`s only from a PSD which I`m trying to follow.
How do I get them? Or are they textures?
Hope you guys can help. Thanks in advance! :)

I'm having a problem with .gifs. It works fine in ImageReady but when I upload it, it seems to freeze and a purple bar keeps flashing up. Example underneath cut. ( Read more... ) I re-formatted my computer so I'm clueless as to what settings I had ImageReady saved to. Can anyone help?

I have checked the archive and didn't see anything close to this, so I hope someone can help me. I use Photoshop CS4.I've been seeing a certain effect around the graphics circuit and I'm not sure how it's done.

Is it a special brush that is only of the outline, or is it the actual picture that has been edited to look like that? I have seen this style done with so many types of images. I know there are bevel and emboss effects and all that on it, but the general outlined picture is what I'm trying to figure out. Can someone show me how it's done?
Thank you in advance!

I know this community gets a lot of posts about color difference of icons on websites and what they looked like in Photoshop. This is one of those questions.
I've read this tutorial on image file formats. I save my icons in PSCS3 as .PNG-24 via "Save for Web & Devices" with Interlaced and Transparency checked. I use the latest version of Firefox. The icons look fine on tinypic and imageshack, if slightly more faded, but if I post them to my journal the colors change and more specifically the same icon appears differently on my profile page than it does in the navigation bar. Is this an LJ issue or can I do anything to change this?
Example:

the top icon looks like it does in PS
the bottom one looks uglier, with less contrast
ETA: it's the same difference with my icon in this post and the icon that shows I'm logged in in the navigation strip.

This is my first ever tutorial, but I thought I’d give it a try. I did the best could to try to explain why I did what I did. So here goes.
Make this:
out of this:
Using Photoshop (my version is CS4 but it should be translatable to older versions, and other programs as well)
Using Color Balance, Levels, and the Gaussian Blur Filter.

Checked the tags and google but didn't find it.
I had an psd open. I cropped a picture and copied it in that psd. I copied the psd and then flatten it. But when I try to save it photoshop freezes. It worked fine the rest of the day. But if I flatten the psd I opened and then try to save it it works fine. Anyone know what the problem could be?.

Okay dokay, so I have looked at I don't even know how many tutorials, and I guess they're those 'recipes'(?) because they seem to only be usefull to that specific photo. The photo's I am working with are screencapes, and I just don't know what to do with them to make them look nice. I guess what I'm wanting is to make the photo over-all more bright. It seems really dull to me, also just sharpening it doesn't really help. I've played with it and nothing seems to be good to me. I would like the colors (like in the flowers) to pop. I hope thats specific enough. ^.^ Any help would be greatly appreciated. One of the photos as an example is under the cut.
